RSRTC Online Ticket Cancellation & Refund

RSRTC Online Ticket Cancellation & Refund Rules Explained

Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) allows online cancellation of e-tickets booked through its official portal (rsrtconline.rajasthan.gov.in). Cancellation charges and refund amounts depend on how close the cancellation is to the scheduled departure time of the bus. These rules are based on the official RSRTC FAQs and Terms & Conditions.

Important notes before cancelling:

Cancellation charges apply only on the base fare. Other charges such as Human Resource (HR) charges, Accidental Surcharge, Toll Tax, and Octroi (if applicable) are fully refunded.
Refunds are credited only to the original payment method (bank account/card used at booking). No cash refunds are given for e-tickets.
Booking and cancellation facilities are generally available from 00:30 to 23:30 IST.
Once booked, you cannot change the date, time, name, gender, or age of passengers. You must cancel the existing ticket and book a new one.
If you do not travel (no-show), no refund is given.

Special Cases & Additional Rules

Bus service cancelled or changed by RSRTC (e.g., Volvo changed to AC/Non-AC, breakdown, or full service cancellation): Submit a printout of the e-ticket to the Chief Manager of the respective RSRTC Depot (in person, by email, or by post). Refund is processed to your bank account (usually within a week). Contact rsrtchelpdesk@gmail.com with Transaction ID, PNR, and details if the refund is delayed. RSRTC does not provide compensation beyond the fare refund in such cases.

Fare difference or higher service type: If the service type changes to a higher category, you may need to pay the difference in cash to the conductor or at the booking window.

Concessional tickets: Standard cancellation rules apply. You must still produce the original supporting documents if required.

No changes allowed: Date, time, passenger details, etc., cannot be modified after booking.

Key Tips

Cancel as early as possible to maximize your refund.
Always keep a printout or digital copy of your e-ticket and cancellation voucher.
Carry a valid original photo ID during travel (Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, PAN, Aadhaar/UID, or employer/student ID). Photocopies are not accepted.
Rules can be updated by RSRTC. For the latest information, check the official website FAQs or Terms & Conditions section, or contact RSRTC helpline/support.

These rules help ensure fair processing while discouraging last-minute cancellations. Plan ahead and cancel early when needed for the best refund outcome.
